Q. Can children or pets attend the festival?
A. Without exception, no children or pets are allowed to attend any Festival event.  This is an adult-only, over-21 festival; IDs will be required to verify age and all adults will be clearly marked as attendees and participants. This includes infants in strollers or backpacks, which will not be allowed either.

Q. How many wines will there be?
A. We will have over 500 international and domestic wines, spirits and beer samples throughout the weekend.

Q. Can I purchase wine at the festival?
A. Colorado law prohibits the sale of wine at the festival. However, please visit Central Park Liquors, the Official Wine Headquarters of the festival, to purchase many of the weekend's wines.

Q. Will there be food?
A. Heavy appetizers will be provided at the Thursday Wine on the Mountain Kickoff Celebration. The Friday Steamboat Stroll will offer bite-size samplings. The Saturday Toast of Steamboat Grand Tasting will offer small tastes from various restaurants.

 Q. I'm from out of town. Where should I stay?
 A. Please click here to see our lodging partners’ latest Wine Festival special offers for the weekend.

Q. Where is will-call?
A. Will-call will be available at the entrance of each event and seminar. At the main events, look for the white tent labeled “Tickets,” and at seminars look for the will-call table.  For the Steamboat Stroll downtown on Friday, will-call is located on the lawn at the courthouse.

Q. How can I purchase tickets?
A. You can purchase grand tasting and seminar tickets online.  You may also purchase tickets for the Friday’s Steamboat Stroll, and the Saturday Grand Tasting at Central Park Liquors in Steamboat Springs starting early July. In the past we have offered walk-up sales, but last year's event(s) sold out and we anticipate the same in 2010 - so we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.   Finally, you can always call to purchase tickets: (877)328-2783.

Q. Can you really walk around with a glass of wine on the Steamboat Stroll?
A. No. You must empty (consume or dump) your wine glass before you leave one stroll area to reach another. Wine cannot leave the grounds of any event.

Q. How much goes to the non-profit?
A. Last year we generated nearly $20,000 for our non-profit partner. In 2010 we will donate 5% of all ticket sales as well as hold additional events for the non-profit group and hope to raise an even greater amount.

Q. What will the live entertainment be?
A. Depending upon the event, the entertainment will vary from live music, auctions and cooking demonstrations.

Q. Where should I park?
A. For events located at the Steamboat Grand Hotel there is parking available in the parking structures near the hotel. For the Steamboat Stroll, there is public parking on the streets downtown and in parking lots. Hotel guests should consider using the hotel's shuttle service to get them downtown.

Q. What are the 2010 events and where are they being held?
A. Click here

Q. If I can only attend one event, which should I attend?
A. That's a hard one since all the events are great. But, the Toast of Steamboat Grand Tasting on Saturday offers the most wines and entertainment of the weekend.

Q. Is there a designated driver program or non-drinking ticket?
A. Yes. These tickets are discounted. These attendees will receive different credentials and no wine glass for the event. Please call our offices to get your tickets: (877)328-2783.

Q. What if I buy tickets and can't come to the event?
A. We are sorry. Just like a sporting event, there are no refunds.

Q. What if there is inclement weather?
A. We will do our best to run the event as planned. Depending upon the day, we may push the event back an hour due to bad weather. However, the event will most likely be held, rain or shine, just like a concert. The Colorado outdoors can be unpredictable in the summer so dress accordingly.

Q. Where do I pick up my seminar tickets?
A. If you order seminar tickets more than two weeks in advance of the event(s), we will mail them to you.  If you purchase tickets less than two weeks in advance, you can pick them up at will-call.

Q. What if my question is still not answered?
A. Call our office, we are happy to help (877)328-2783, or email info@tppevents.com
